POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision, performs a variety of police duties such as patrolling the assigned area(s) to detect/deter crime and arrest violators to ensure security and safety people and property. Investigates suspected crimes, report findings, and arrest suspected individuals. Testifies in a court of legal proceedings. Proficiently operates law enforcement equipment (including lethal and non-lethal weapons necessary in the performance of required duties). Provides safety, crime prevention, and community policing information to contacts over the course of patrol duties.
