Dyersburg State Community College invites applicants for Music&nbsp;adjunct instructors for day, evening, and online classes held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or at one of our other off-campus centers. Initial assignment may be at one of our teaching locations, but the official work station assignment may change each semester. The successful applicant will become certified and fully use the course management system (eLearn) for all classes. 15% Review and record accident and Police Incident Reports into the Campus Police database. Act as an assistant (RAC) Reporting Agency Coordinator for the (TBI) Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and submit crime data directly into the (TIBRS) Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System. Review, track and verify TBI annual Crime on Campus Report to ensure department crime statistics are reported accurately. Maintain Daily Crime Log as per Department of Education guidelines and track campus crime statistics for Annual Security Report. Access the TBI Sex Offender Registry each semester and as needed to track student or employee Sexual Offender status. 10% Review college events scheduled (on all campuses) in the 25Live scheduling system to ensure Police and Security personnel are scheduled to work when necessary and required equipment and supplies are reserved for those events. Correspond with other department schedulers when required information is omitted or when additional information is needed to properly schedule Police/ Security personnel for an event.
5% Create requisition purchase forms for annual department expenditures. Research office equipment and supply items to be purchased for department and prepare requisition forms in the SciQuest (Pellibiz) system. Review requisition forms submitted by other members of the department to ensure accuracy and completeness. Track department expenditures in the SciQuest (Pellibiz) system to ensure invoices are accurate and promptly paid. Review and track “Requests for Leave” and “Leave Reports” for department personnel and provide administrative and clerical support to the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief, Sergeants, Police Officers, and other department staff.
5% Operate the central alarm panel when a fire or security alarm is activated and during emergency drills. Assist with informing department supervisors of alarm conditions and emergency situations. Assist with coordinating and directing local police, fire, and EMS personnel in responding to an emergency on campus.
5% Process parking/traffic violation tickets and validate owner/operator information in the State of Tennessee’s vehicle registration database. Log ticket information into the Campus Police database. Process ticket appeal forms, notify appellants of information regarding hearing date, recruit and establish new Ticket Appeal Review Committee every month (for integrity reasons). Conduct Ticket Appeal Hearings and notify appellants of hearing results via email and USPS. Biennially evaluate and compare parking permit samples from assorted vendors. Assess and update design of parking permits so new permits differ from previous design (so new permits can be easily identified). Process and distribute new parking permits to all college employees every other year.
5% Maintain the Department’s Lost and Found items per PSPD General Order G-20 and PSCC Policy 08:09:01.&nbsp; Lost and Found items are to be noted on the Lost and Found Submission Log and submitted into the department’s database. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
The majority of the work day is spent sitting and working on a computer viewing information on a computer screen and answering phone calls and communicating a portable radio. Some standing and walking is involved when addressing walk in requests for assistance, addressing emergency alarms on the alarm panel, and when delivering or picking up the department mail. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Hazards: 
The employee in this position is regularly exposed to numerous students, employees, and visitors throughout the work day who enter the office requesting assistance. This exposure increases the likelihood of catching a cold, the flu, or other sickness or disease, especially during the cold and flu season.
Exposure to a Blood Borne Pathogen is also possible as students, employees and visitors regularly enter this office and request assistance while they are bleeding.
Although remote, the possibility of an active shooter situation on campus is possible. Serious injury would be a probable result if an active shooter entered the Campus Police Office.

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Job Summary
This is a full-time academic-year (9-month) term appointment reporting to the department chair of Technologies. The Cisco Networking Academy faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on instruction in networking and information technology courses as part of the Cisco Networking Academy program. The faculty member will prepare students for Cisco certifications and provide them with essential knowledge and skills in networking, cybersecurity, and related technologies. The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities, and organizations. 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers lectures to students on topics such as cisco networking and teaches departmental courses during the day (usually four or five days per week), during the evening (usually two nights per week), and occasionally on Saturdays.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates, and grades students' coursework, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom (tutoring), assists in the planning and implementation of the CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) plan at the department and program levels.</li>
<li>Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Writes student laboratory exercises and conducts student laboratory sessions for courses taught.</li>
<li>Participates in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities; college/departmental committee assignments and prepares departmental purchase requisitions.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA (Family Educational Rights Privacy Act) regulations.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assigned by the program coordinator or department chair.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree or AAS degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
</li>
<li>Cisco certifications such as CCNA, Cisco NetAcad Instructor are highly desirable. 
</li>
<li>CompTIA A+ certification. 
</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and concepts. 
</li>
<li>A background check will be required for the successful candidate.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Previous teaching or training experience.</li>
<li>A minimum of three (3) years of field experience.</li>
</ul>

Title: Instructional Technology Coordinator
Job Summary
Support students, faculty, and staff in online and virtual learning. Provide technical support and training for the learning management system, accessibility software, classroom technologies, and teleconferencing systems. Support and review course development projects to ensure faculty are trained and adhere to current instructional design theories, technologies, and accessibility standards.
Job Duties
• Provide virtual customer and technical support to faculty and students for all campus-related software.
• Provide technical and daily use support to faculty and students using Desire2Learn or any other campus-related software.
• Provide classroom technology training and consultation to faculty to create student-centered courses in D2L.
• Facilitate campus-related software as the senior system administrator for Desire2Learn, Nearpod, Zoom, TextHelp, Camtasia, Articulate 360, TurnItIn, and Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor, including maintaining all faculty accounts, course creations, cloning, cross-listing, and training for Distance courses.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate training and professional development workshops for faculty in the use of campus-related software including Desire2Learn, Nearpod, Zoom, TextHelp, Camtasia, Articulate 360, TurnItIn, and Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor, and Microsoft Office products.
• Maintain and monitor all scheduling for Distance Learning and Web Conferencing courses.
• Coordinate with the Office of Information Technology to report any hardware issues for all Distance Learning classrooms.
• Coordinate with Dual Enrollment High Schools using web-conferencing software for training and technical support.
• Coordinate with Director of Center for Teaching and Learning on faculty professional development opportunities.
• Review newly designed online courses for student navigation and provide feedback to the instructional designer.
• Assist faculty with creating and updating course material to meet TBR accessibility standards in all courses.
• Research upcoming classroom technology and new vendors including pricing, accessibility, and FERPA guidelines.
• Train faculty and staff on Mobile Device Policy, including specialized device training.
