As part of a holistic team of Kentucky-based researchers, the successful candidate is expected to develop research associated with an NSF-EPSCoR funded project that focuses on evaluating the geological and hydroclimatic conditions influencing flood and landslide hazards in eastern Kentucky, with an aim towards building climate resilience in Appalachian communities. Additionally, the faculty scholar will be expected to develop an internationally recognized, externally funded research and student training program.
