Be part of our movement, let’s pursue excellence together.  Summary:Lead the strategic planning for pricing and IDN/Payer/GPO/SP contracting programs to support in-line brands, pipeline products, and business development initiatives. This role is responsible for executing all pricing and contracting strategies and tactics, as well as providing field support to account directors when appropriate. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of IDNs, hospital systems, GPOs, payers, SPs, market access, reimbursement, pricing, and contracting. They will analyze contract profitability across the company’s portfolio, offer leadership on pricing and contracting-related issues, and develop and implement effective strategies and tactics. The individual should be familiar with various pricing and contracting approaches and relevant topics for the entire product portfolio. They will also need to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders, including Market Access, Finance, Field Accounts, Brand, Legal, Compliance, and other key functional areas to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategies.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job.   • Develop and lead internal cross-functional product pricing lifecycle teams.
  • Manage external vendors for supporting pricing and contracting programs.
  • Oversee proposal, financial and ROI analysis of various IDN/GPO/payer segments and channels in support of contracting goals.
  • Conduct analysis to assess identified competitive threats related to competitor pricing and/or contracting activity.
  • Develop and maintain internal contract performance reports for promoted products.
  • Create and update templates for customer business reviews and rebate relationships with key accounts.
  • Train the accounts teams and, where necessary, other field-based teams on new contracting programs.
  • Evaluate therapeutic areas for new products to project market and product value and develop pricing analyses leading to formal recommendations for the pricing/contracting committee.
  • Analyze product markets, life cycle status, and competitive environments for in-line products to make formal price change recommendations aligned with corporate financial objectives.
  • Assess economic drivers and barriers related to IDNs, payers, customers, and patients that impact product utilization.
  • Partner with Finance counterparts to support GTN forecasts and budgets and to ensure accurate government reporting and submissions.
  • Collaborate across Brand Teams, Market Access, Finance, Business Development, Legal and other functional teams to develop and implement contracting and pricing program solutions that effectively and efficiently meet strategic objectives.
  • Present program/strategy updates to internal stakeholders.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise a team of Payer Account DirectorsEducation and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, business/marketing, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ year’s relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry including at least 2 years in pricing and contracting (commercial and government).
  • Experience in a combination of large and start-up companies preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of WAC, Best Price, AMP, ASP.
  • Strong knowledge of core contract terms and condition
  • Deep understanding of GPO, IDN, payer and customer segments relevant to brand products
  • Strong understanding of the US Reimbursement System across major payer segments (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Federal).
