How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Work closely with the E2E Product PMO and Platform Directors to lay out Finance Modernization Strategy and Roadmaps
  • Own/Drive E2E Finance Modernization Tech PMO and manage E2E Testing processes spanning Finance Modernization and other Finance initiatives
  • Work with  Product Program Manager and across the Technical Project Managers of Finance portfolio encompassing multiyear initiatives such as Fast Forward and Finance Modernization initiatives to develop a deep understanding of the products and features
  • Guide/Lead multiple decommission efforts as part of Finance Modernization
  • Possess Technical acumen to understand tech stack, able to talk Technical language with Architects, Engineering and Product Teams. Provide suggestions/guidance and ask right questions guiding towards a common solution
  • Own relationships with Product and Business stakeholders. Provide offline/frequent updates as needed to build relationships/partnerships
  • Work with Test Manager on long term Test Strategy and Automation where needed
  • Own/Present Executive updates, roadmap presentations and other required artifacts
  • Define and manage how the teams should be operating to allow visibility into the delivery process
  • Continued coaching for the teams on best practices around sizing, grooming, prioritization, dependency mapping, etc.
  • Facilitate testing conversations / testing solutioning between teams and identify/close dependencies or linkages
  • Co-Lead monthly product and tech syncs with leadership team, providing updates and escalating risks
  • Trouble-shoot issues and surface up impediments with delivery
  • Handle the Rally process (Capabilities, Features, User Stories, acceptance criteria process), request spaces, ensure consistency in set-up, enable necessary fields, and metrics dashboards

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience working as a Project Manager/Delivery Manager/Test Lead preferably working on complex, enterprise level platforms
  • Experience handling ETPs or large initiatives
  • Extensive Corp Tech Finance experience
  • Deeper understanding of Finance applications at American Express such as Falcon, FODL, RRA, etc
  • Deep experience with teams working in Agile, Test delivery and SAFe (Scaled Agile Frameworks) a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Loves working in an entrepreneurial environment that is lean, fast paced, and dynamic.
  • A strong “driver” personality - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration.
  • Ability to lead through influence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly create relationships and build trust with internal and external collaborators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Rally and Confluence
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline 
  • RTE and other Agile certifications a plus

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
