Sales Engineer

Position Overview:

The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales process. This key role involves collaborating with the sales team to understand client needs, offering tailored solutions, and demonstrating how products or services can meet those needs. The Sales Engineer plays a critical part in ensuring a seamless transition from technical solutions to business results, contributing to the company's growth by aligning technology with customer requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the sales team, helping to understand customer requirements and deliver the right product or service solutions.
  • Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and technical training sessions for clients and internal teams.
  • Engage with clients to assess their technical needs and translate them into product specifications.
  • Offer pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to recommend or design solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Assist in generating technical proposals, including configurations, pricing, and onboarding plans.
  • Support the sales team in developing and executing sales strategies by offering insights on product positioning and competitive advantages.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and competitor offerings, attending relevant trade shows, conferences, and seminars to promote products.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Deep technical expertise in products or services relevant to the role (e.g., software, hardware, engineering, manufacturing).
  • Proven sales acumen, with the ability to communicate value propositions and contribute to closing deals.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to assess customer challenges and develop suitable technical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship-building with clients and internal teams.
  • Experience in delivering technical demonstrations or presentations to customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and sales projects simultaneously, demonstrating effective project management skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 5 Years previous experience in sales, technical support, or product management.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales processes.
