Research Study Coordinator

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise research assistant/call center study staff
- Maintain caseload of study participants.
- Schedule staff to ensure coverage of study times
- Onboard new staff on the study.
- Track key project statistics and utilize these metrics to make informed decisions regarding the scope of the project.
- Monitor participant retention rate and proactively address drop out concerns as they arise.
- Collect data using a variety of methods.
- Maintain communication between Caron and call center
- Enter data into research databases, such as SPSS, Excel, and REDCAP.
- Complete monthly study progress reports
- Perform quality control checks on 10% of calls and data
- Review data for errors in entry.
- Attend Caron meetings involved with research activities, as needed.
- Use judgment and be self-directed in performance of responsibilities.
- This job may require at minimum 1 weekend a month (not to exceed 2) and some evening work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Light lifting and bending
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of Master’s degree required. Previous clinical trial experience can substitute for Master’s degree
- Experience in mental health or addiction treatment or research.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Previous call center experience preferred
- Attention to detail in work assignments.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize work.
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, SPSS software programs.
- If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is preferred.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule, including weekend and evening hours, to align with project goals, scheduled appointments, and supervisory responsibilities.
COMPETENCE AND MEASUREMENT:
- Demonstrate ability to gain staff confidence and maintain participants in the study
- Demonstrate attention to detail through a minimum of errors in data entry.
- Demonstrate time-management abilities through timely completion of multiple tasks.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently through decision-making skills and independent completion of tasks in absence of Director of Research.
- Demonstrate initiative in completion of tasks without prior requests and in approaching Director of Research with project ideas and suggestions.
