The University of Texas at El Paso College of Nursing invites applications for tenured/tenured-track faculty positions at the academic rank of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor to begin in fall 2025. The tenured/tenure-track faculty appointment carries the expectation for teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level as appropriate. The candidates are expected to provide service within the College of Nursing, UTEP, the nursing profession, and the local community.

The successful tenure track Assistant Professor candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an externally funded research program. The successful tenure track Associate Professor candidate will be expected to maintain a developed externally funded research program.

The successful tenured full Professor candidate will be expected to conduct their established program of research.

There are two positions currently open, one tenured track and one tenured.

Job Requirements:
All candidates are required to have a PhD and a Master of Science in Nursing degree. A PhD in Nursing is preferred; but a PhD in a related field will be considered.

All candidates must be eligible for an RN or APRN license in Texas.

At the early-career Assistant Professor rank, all candidates should demonstrate a strong potential to achieve the required qualifications. At the Associate Professor rank, all candidates should have an existing record of scholarly achievement through publications and securing external grant funding, and a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness and community service.

At the full Professor rank, all candidates should have a strong record of scholarly achievement through publications and securing external grant funding, and a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness and community service.
