About the role:

This position entails working closely with the Team Lead to support daily production and day-to-day operations within the maintenance department. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems within our facility. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What you will do:

  • The Maintenance Technician will collaborate with the Team Lead to execute regular and preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • This involves conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting to ensure efficient and safe operation, and diagnosing issues.
  • Additionally, the technician will be responsible for replacing faulty parts and implementing preventive maintenance measures to reduce downtime.
  • Production floor trouble shooting and repairing of equipment.
  • Works with Maintenance Team lead to coordinate day to day operations of the Maintenance Department.
  • Identifying the root cause of equipment malfunctions or breakdowns through systematic troubleshooting techniques.
  • This involves analyzing symptoms, interpreting technical manuals and schematics, and utilizing diagnostic tools to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by using the CMMS to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment manuals.
  • This involves documenting completed tasks, recording parts usage, and updating maintenance schedules to track equipment history and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and regulatory requirements.
  • Follows all Safety and Quality measures while performing daily tasks: Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others
  • This includes conducting safety inspections, following lockout/tagout procedures, and reporting potential hazards or safety violations promptly.
  • Additionally, participating in safety training programs and promoting a culture of safety awareness among colleagues.
  • Equipment and tools that are used: Microsoft Office, CMS System, Overhead Crane, Stand-Up Reach Truck, Sit down Forklift (IC/Electric/Gas)


When & Where:

  • This is a full-time position based in the Houston, TX plant.
  • Indoor and Outdoor activities.
  • Independent mobility within the plant constantly withstanding for up to 3 hours.
  • Flexibility for frequent reach to various heights and distances and work in cramped area.
  • Frequent proximity to cranes, hoses, caustic chemicals and fumes.


What you need to have:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficient electrical knowledge to safely work with and around AC/DC electrical systems for repairs and machinery installation.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficient in Fanuc Robotics operation and ABB Robot System.
  • Knowledge on CMMS system – Megametion.
  • Welding knowledge and understanding.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems.
  • Independent mobility within the plant constantly withstanding for up to 3 hours.
  • Flexibility for frequent reach to various heights and distances and work in cramped area.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle parts and tools.


What would be nice to have:

  • Welding and Fabrication experience.
  • Forklift certificate of completion and previous forklift driving experience.
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in the relevant field.
  • Proficient mechanical knowledge and experience to identify and correct mechanical malfunctions.
  • Proficient with High Voltage Electrical Safety and associated Arc Flash requirements.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and plumbing.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructional manuals, vendor manuals, technical data and word orders.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in 480V, 110V and 24VDC circuit.

The salary for this position ranges from $21.08 to $31.05 hourly. The specific pay rate for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
