What you will do!
The person in this role assists with providing vendor and contract management and administration for the agency's major outsourced information technology systems through its primary vendor. This includes managing the vendor relationship, drafting, and coordinating review of amendments and change orders mission critical information technology systems. Review and analyze contractor reports to ensure the contractor is meeting contractual requirements. Review and approve proposed system fixes by vendor. Work with executives, information technology system users to ensure business needs are being supported. Work with executives, business owners, business users on prioritization of system enhancements with the terms and conditions of the contract with vendor. Maintain detailed working knowledge of contract content and requirements, including identification of relevant contract provisions and issue spotting. Additionally, with the steady increase in Annual Center for Medicare Systems (CMS) submissions, the person in this role will be responsible for coordination and oversight of Advanced Panning Documents (APDs).

What we are looking for:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
OR;
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.
Working Conditions
This position involves frequent contact with executives, management, and staff both internal and external to the organization. It requires working with a variety of people and situations, which requires the incumbent to exercise diplomacy. Confidentiality of information must be maintained at all times. Often travel to meetings is required with some travel to trainings. There can be frequent interruptions, demanding timeframes, and non-traditional working hours. This position requires the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, sometimes within short time frames, and interface effectively with business partners.
The location of this position is in an office, cubicle and/or an agreed upon remote work environment with significant use of a computer and video conferencing. The base position will be located in Salem, Oregon with remote work capabilities for candidates who have full access to the needed technology and can report on-site as needed. There are times that the work may need to be conducted at the central office. Work location may be changed at any time at the discretion of the hiring manager.
