Job Summary
The Engineering Program Manager will apply advanced knowledge of transportation engineering principles and research practices to address technical issues and challenges impacting the Technology Transfer Program (T2). As an experienced Licensed Professional Engineer, the Engineering Program Manager is equipped to resolve unique challenges and lead innovative solutions for local transportation agencies and is expected to stay current on emerging practices and methods to recommended new approaches or adjustments to current practices within T2. The engineering program manager will maintain regular interaction with local and state government officials, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and effective project execution.
This position will represent the program through state and national presentations and represent T2 at various conferences and professional events to foster strategic partnerships. In addition to maintaining technical expertise, the Engineering Program Manager will oversee projects within the Local Government Outreach Program and others to ensure compliance with program goals. This individual will supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and researchers while ensuring adherence to critical research project management practices and program schedules and budgets. This individual remains a recognized expert at the state level, contributing to national technical committees, publishing research, and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
