International Subsidiary Banking (“ISB”) provides banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Commercial Banking (CMB) clients within the Corporate segment. The ISB strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our clients. The ISB business is a significant contributor of revenue to CMB and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 50 countries managing over 35,000 subsidiary client relationships. The ISB Senior Relationship Manager a portfolio of ISB customers, with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery.

As our Senior Relationship Manager  you will:
 

  • Be the go-to advisor for acquiring, retaining and growing ISB Commercial Banking customer relationships
    Report to the Co-Head of the Eastern Region with coverage including New York, the broader Tri-State Area and DMV region (D.C. Maryland and Virginia), as well as responsibility for the Indian corridor and the Industrials Sector Coverage. To thrive in this job, you’ll need a proven understanding of commercial lending and risk assessment
  • Be familiar with a CRM tool and the technical and personal details it takes to manage many stakeholders through a complex international decision-making process
  • Develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment 
  • Work to build existing and win new long-term customer relationships

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $155,700.00 and $233,600.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Direct experience with Indian large corporate clients required
  • Strong credit assessment and analysis skills, particularly with regard to more complex and structured facilities, with prior credit experience required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing commercial relationships, preferably with international needs 
  • Minimum of 15 years of banking experience
  • Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services 
  • Develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment
  • Build existing and win new long-term customer relationships
  • Collaborate with product partners to identify and match customer needs with relevant expertise; notably with Global Trade & Receivables Finance,
  • Global Payments Services, Global Banking & Markets, Global Private Banking and Global Asset Management
  • High level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues 
  • Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
