Position Information

Hiring Department: Hunt College of Business

Posting End Date: Open until filled.

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends

FLSA status: exempt

Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.

A valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.



Purpose of Position

Essential Functions

Corporate Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, identifying opportunities for collaboration that benefit both the college and its students.
  • Develop and implement strategies for corporate engagement that align with the college's goals and mission.
  • Actively manage and coordinate the business advisory council, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between council members and the college.
  • Work closely with corporate partners to create and sustain student internship and employment opportunities.



Alumni Relations:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive alumni engagement strategies that strengthen the relationship between alumni and the college.
  • Organize and manage alumni-focused events, including networking sessions, career panels, and reunions, to facilitate ongoing alumni involvement in college activities.
  • Create opportunities for alumni to contribute to the college through mentorship programs, guest lectures, and philanthropic support.



Communication and Events:
  • Lead the development and distribution of communication materials, including quarterly newsletters, annual reports, and other key publications, to keep corporate partners, alumni, and advisory councils informed and engaged.
  • Plan, organize, and execute events that support corporate engagement and alumni relations, such as advisory council meetings, corporate partner events, and alumni gatherings.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all channels.



Advisory Council Management:
  • Actively manage the college's business advisory council, coordinating meetings, setting agendas, and ensuring alignment with the college's strategic goals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the college and its various advisory councils, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
  • Engage council members in meaningful ways to support the college's mission and enhance student opportunities.

Strategic Planning and Reporting:
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans for corporate engagement and alumni relations, ensuring alignment with the college's broader objectives.
  • Prepare and present reports on corporate and alumni engagement activities, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and future opportunities.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of engagement strategies and events, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.

Complies with all State and University policies.

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's objectives, policies and applicable laws

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree

and

Experience: Five years of related experience and/or training to the essential duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Occasional traveling required.

Experience in corporate engagement, alumni relations, or a related field, preferably within higher education. Demonstrated success in managing corporate partnerships and alumni networks. Experience in event planning, meeting coordination, and strategic communications.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. Experience working with diverse stakeholders, particularly within Hispanic-serving Knowledge of regional and national corporate and alumni networks. Proven ability to manage advisory councils and other stakeholder groups.
