The Analyst -Global Banking Energy and Chemicals Transition- will be coordinating origination and execution for some of the largest technology companies in the world. Will assist in maintaining strategic dialogue and providing a spectrum of solutions with a primary focus in: Global Banking (including Credit and Lending, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, and Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets), Transaction Banking (including Global Payments  and Global Trade Solutions), Global Markets (including Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates and Derivatives) and Global Asset Management with the goal of deepening client relationships, growing banking revenues and improving relationship returns. A passion for people and building trusted relationships is critical to success in this role.

As our Analyst -Global Banking Energy and Chemicals Transition- you will:

  • Develop a solid understanding of the capital allocation committee process, including who the key stakeholders are, and develop strong relationships with these individuals
  • Liaise with members of the client service team (product partners and multinationals teams), ensuring a coordinated approach to enhancing the client relationship
  • Monitor fee generation and effectively manage the financial reporting and analysis for the client portfolio
  • Provide marketing support to senior relationship managers in pitching ideas, servicing client relationships and enhancing income generation
  • Use your corporate finance knowledge and financial modeling skills to assess corporate credit profiles
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients in the portfolio, as well as sector themes and trends, identifying key strengths and weaknesses and forming a view of these key topics
  • Build trusted relationships with Credit / Risk officers and have the confidence to articulate your point clearly and concisely
  • Work closely with the credit management team to maintain a high degree of work quality, ensuring papers are tailored to the client and transaction in question
  • Collaborate with others across Global Banking to achieve the overall goals of Global Banking and specifically the Coverage Model
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $100,000.00 and $110,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Strong willingness to learn, positive attitude and a drive to succeed in this role and beyond
  • A passion for people and building trusted relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Understanding of risk management and credit mitigants
  • Strong level of financial analysis ability
  • Strong Windows capabilities; Excel, Powerpoint, Word
  • Ability to provide analytical support whenever needed
  • Ability to undertake in depth review of industry, competitors, client and products and provide high-quality analysis of credit risk
  • FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses required. A contingency period to obtain licensing can be provided at manager’s discretion
  • Knowledge of HSBC Group systems and Global Banking processes is a plus
