Job Summary
The University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment seeks a dynamic Agriculture Communications Specialist to develop, edit, and manage content that highlights the college’s contributions to Kentucky’s agricultural sectors, with a particular focus on the University of Kentucky Research and Education Center (UKREC) in Princeton, Kentucky. This role requires a strong understanding of Kentucky agriculture and effective collaboration with statewide agricultural communities to produce impactful stories. Through media relations and strategic storytelling, the specialist will support the college’s land-grant mission areas – teaching, research, and extension – and promote Kentucky’s agricultural future.
This position is eligible for hybrid/remote work and requires frequent travel within the state, particularly to Princeton, KY. We have offices in Princeton, KY, and Lexington, KY, so the office location will depend on the candidate hired. If the candidate is not near Princeton or Lexington, the position could be fully remote but will still require in-state travel.
