Howmet Fastening Systems has an opening for a Maintenance/Electrician position, 2nd shift, in Tucson AZ.  Hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

This position is responsible for:

Performing electrical work. maintenance and repair on all production and facility equipment.

Responsible for interfacing with subcontractors in the repair of production and facility equipment.

Specifying and ordering required parts and supplies.

Installing electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures. motors and other such equipment.

Performing shilled maintenance activities including construction, brazing, soldering and plumbing.

Assuring a safe and healthful workplace

Show by example a commitment to employee involvement, participative management and continuous improvement.

A Trade school certification in electrical, machine/facility maintenance and repair, including machining, motor controls, plumbing, HVAC and welding.  Equivalent experience may be substituted.

Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment performing machine maintenance and repair

Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience and knowledge required.

Familiar with the function and operation of a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e. heading, rolling, drilling, heat treat, plating, band annealing, assembly and facility support.)

Ability to read equipment, component and wiring drawings and schematics

Familiar with hydraulics and pneumatics

Fabrication experience required

Welding, HVAC, Plumbing and PLC experience a plus

Knowledgeable with MS Office Suite

Team Player

Takes initiative and follows directions

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved
