Department Head - Imaging Services

Gillette has an opening for a key leadership role - Head of Imaging Services Department.   This position will oversee a multitalented group of technologists to ensure the coordinated, efficient, effective and timely completion of radiographic services at Gillette.  This includes working collaboratively to promote the advancement of pediatric imaging services.

The ideal candidate will be a credentialed radiologic technologist with at least one additional credential in CT, MR, US, or DXA along with strong comprehension of RIS, PACS and an EHR.   Experience with regulatory requirements from the MN Department of Health-Radiation Control, Joint Commission, American College of Radiology, CMS, coding and reimbursement will be required.  Ideally, this person will have experience working with safe practices for radiation and MR with a passion for image quality and service excellence.  

Specific Requirements:

Required:

  • BS or BA degree in healthcare or business field
  • Master’s degree obtained or in progress
  • Registration/certification in radiologic technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience relevant to the position
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership, supervisory or managerial role within a relevant clinical setting
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate significant and complex process improvement initiatives that involve a number of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with physicians and clinical providers
  • Strong knowledge, skills, and experience in communicating with diverse groups, negotiating complex issues and in maintaining professional relationships
  • Time management, problem solving, protocol, policy and procedure development skills
  • Financial and budget management experience; ability to analyze trends and changes in healthcare environment
  • Management of human resources experience, including recruiting and retention, staffing and performance management
  • Interest in and commitment to advancing services for individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent customer service skills


Preferred:

  • Credentialed as a Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA)
  • Additional educational preparation and/or professional certification in CT, MR, Ultrasound, Bone Density, Imaging Information Systems
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
